2.LIVING THINGS: Internal Structure

CELLS --> TISSUES --> ORGANS  --> SYSTEMS/APARATUSSES

ACTIVITIES AND MORE INFORMATION

CELLS

All living things are form by cells.

CELLS are the basic units of life. They are microscopic and they are alive (they carry out the nutrition, interaction and reproduction).

Living things can have:
  • 1 cell: unicellular organisms
  • more than 1 cell: multicellular organisms

PARTS OF A CELL

NUCLEUS: it has the genetic material that controls the cell
CELL MEMBRANE: surrounds the cell and keeps the cytoplasm inside
CYTOPLASM: liquid inside the cell, it has ORGANELLES with different functions
CELL WALL: surrounds plant cells

MULTICELLULAR ORGANISMS ORGANISE THEIR CELLLS INTO TISSUES, ORGANS AND SYSTEMS/APARATUSSES

TISSUES
Group of cells with the same function.

ORGANS
Group of tissues with the same function.
SYSTEMS/APARATUSSES
Group of organs with the same function.

ALL TOGETHER MAKE AN ORGANISM OR LIVING THING.
